Celebrations to mark the
10th anniversary of the purchase of Mount Elephant by the local Communities
were held on the 6th March, they started at 12 midday and contined until 4.00pm
This coincided with the March open day and Corangamite Shire's BBQ for
"Give it a go week"
with the BBQ running through out the afternoon.
The official celebration and speeches were at 2.00pm.
and
4WD vehicles were available to transport visitors into the crater
throughout the afternoon.

As can be seen from the photo above the weather was prrrfect, not a cloud in the sky and a gentle North wind to keep the fly's away and dry up the sweat as you walked from the crater to the rim.
